CLUB DETAILS

Running Club

Burleigh Running Club is for students in grades 3-5. The purpose of the club is to get kids moving with fun, no pressure activities.  There will be relays, middle distance runs, sprints, scavenger hunts and much more.  Attendance is flexible.  Sign up here.

LEAP (Leadership Education Achievement Program)
This is a collaborative program comprised of students from Brookfield East High School and Burleigh Elementary. These students form a partnership to develop positive leadership skills. Activities are designed by the high school students, along with teacher supervisors, and will focus on a variety of leadership, team building, and social skills.

Lego Leagues
Burleigh Lego Leagues are organized under the FIRST Robotics umbrella. This parent-led initiative organizes teams under the FIRST Lego League and FIRST Lego League Jr structure. The leagues are competitive, and the purpose is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders. League team meeting times vary. Chess Club
This is a parent sponsored and run program which meets every Friday morning from 7:30 - 8:40am in the Burleigh school cafeteria. The goal of this program is to introduce the game of chess and teach the fundamental strategies. This club is open to any 1st through 5th grade student.

Foreign Language Lessons
Learn beginning Spanish through songs, games and cultural activities. These parent paid classes are held on varying mornings.

Intramurals
The Burleigh Intramural Program will offer activities for all interested 4th & 5th grade students.  This session students will have the option to participate Mondays and Wednesday afternoons from 3:45 until 4:45 p.m.  The activities that will be offered are football, soccer, hockey and basketball.
