Balls

During December and January, students showed improved positive behavior during recess and reached their goal of earning new playground equipment ~ an awesome accomplishment!  Thanks to additional funds from Student Council's Cookie Cafe, we were able to restock and add more equipment for students to enjoy as a reward for increased positive behavior.  We're so proud of our students and their teamwork.  As we use the new equipment, we'll continue practicing takind care of it and returning items so it lasts through the end of the year.  Way to go students!  Let's take great care of our footballs, soccer balls and bouncy balls!

To the Educators, PTO, Community, and Mighty Competitors of the Burleigh Empire,

The bananas have been counted. The pins have fallen. The glory has been claimed.

A HUGE thank you to our incredible PTO for donating six cases of fruit (an absolute potassium power move 🍌), our amazing community for keeping the fruit supply flowing, and our staff for embracing the chaos and cheering on our athletes.

And to the real MVPs—the kiddos—thank you for your hustle, teamwork, and relentless pursuit of strikes. You made this event legendary.

🏆 Final Results:

Champion: Mrs. Reuter’s class (dominant performance—history will remember you)
Runner-Up: Ms. Peksa (valiant effort… the banana almost slipped your way)

🎯 Final Totals (4 Days of Bowling):
Strikes: 1,459 (goal = CRUSHED)
Spares: 1,657 (because why stop at greatness?)

This year was truly un-peel-able.

Stay golden (and slightly fuzzy),
The Phy Ed Bros
Mr. Otto, Mr. Serath & Mr. Rosa
Keepers of the Stuffed Banana

Speed Skating

We are proud to share that one of our students Jeremy D. has qualified for the National Age Group Speed Skating Competition (Junior E, ages 7-10), which will take place in Boston.  He will represent the Elmbrook School District Speed Skating Club at this prestigious national event.

Founded in 2021, the Elmbrook School District Speed Skating Club is currently the only school-based speedskating club in the nation.  Jeremy is the only athlete from the district club to earn a spot in this year's competition, an impressive accomplishment that reflects not only his dedication, perseverance and passion for the sport.  His success is also a testament to the strong support and encouragement he has received from the Elmbrook School community.

We are incredibly proud of Jeremy and wish him the very best as he competes in Boston.  Way to go Jeremy and Good Luck!
