Team Alpha Geek will compete at the FIRST World Championship in Houston, TX, this April for the second time in a row! The team won 2nd Place Champions Award at the Wisconsin State Championship! To learn more about Team Alpha Geek, click here.
Team B.U.I.L.D. will be traveling to the WPI FLL Open Event (WAFFLE) in Worcester, MA after placing 3rd at the Wisconsin State Championship (again)! You can help team BUILD make a big impact on their Road to WAFFLE by participating in their Deeds for Daniel initiative (learn more at the link)! It just takes a moment to be kind, and all those kind moments can add up to a big impact!
Team Lightning Bolts concluded their 2024/25 Submerged season at the Wisconsin State Championship. The team will continue to collaborate with the NOAA team and Maker Buoy on publication of their Innovation project. Congrats to our Burleigh/PPMS teams advancing to the state championship on January 19th!
Team Alpha Geek 55696 won the 1st place Champions Award and placed 1st in the robot game at the Mukwanago Sectionals Tournament! This team created the Kelper Helper Buoy to help monitor and restore coral reefs affected by ocean acidification. Learn more about how ocean acidification negatively affects ocean explorers and the team’s solution to this problem on their website.
Team BUILD 44199 won the 1st place Innovation Project award at the Waukesha Sectionals Tournament! This team created an optical modem solution to increase depth of ocean exploration in the photic zone. Learn more about the team and their season here: https://sites.google.
Team Lightning Bolts 53650 won the 2nd place Innovation Project award, 2nd place robot game score, and the peer award at the Waukesha Sectionals Tournament! This team developed a Smart Buoy that harnesses solar, wind, and wave energy to keep the buoy powered all year long. Learn more about the team and their season here: https://sites.google.
