Spring into Action for Stronger Learning

Outdoor play helps kids reset and refocus. Climbing, running, and exploring not only support physical growth but also improve sensory processing and executive functioning.  This is key for following directions and problem-solving in class.

We are pleased to share that our science fair was a success!  The halls were buzzing with excitement and curiosity as our students enjoyed viewing their classmates experiments.  We are always impressed by the creativity and problem-solving skills demonstrated by each student.

Hello Burleigh Choir Families! 

As you’ve seen in previous emails, our Burleigh choir- the Viking Voices- has the opportunity to perform the National Anthem along with the other Elmbrook elementary school choirs at the Admirals Hockey game on Friday, April 18^th 2025. This is an optional event, but it’s tons of fun, and one of the highlights of the year! Below is all the information you’ll need for getting tickets, parking, etc.

Join First Responders, their families and friends as they skate to support The n-lorem Foundation in the name of Gunnar Vrtochnick, a 4th grader at Burleigh Elementary, who is courageously battling KIF1A, a progressive and neurodegenerative rare disease with no cure. 

Gunnar has been accepted as a patient of n-Lorem. N-Lorem brings hope and potential help to nano-rare patients (1-30 patients worldwide) like Gunnar by providing them with experimental antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) medicines free for life.
